Edible Forest/Orchard Polyculture Workshop

Saturday April 20 or Sunday April 21, 2013 from 9am to 4pm

Where: Aisling Keep Farm near Chatsworth Ontario

Come experience a 1.5 acre edible forest garden in the making, and learn from five years of work in the field. This workshop is open to all levels of experience; beginner to advanced. Featuring two great Guest Speakers.  Dave McPhail has several years of organic orchard experience at Bousfield’s Apples and Cidery in Milton, ON.  Sue Chan is a pollination biologist who specializes in native bees.

Beginning Beekeeping  brought to you by Best for Bees!  This in-depth workshop will cover introductory beekeeping, treatment-free beekeeping, and different types of hives. In addition, participants have the choice to build their very own beehive (either Langstroth or Top Bar) so that they are ready to keep bees starting Spring 2013! Erica will also have a list of farmers/properties that would like to host beekeepers for those without a location!
